”Changchun BBQ 长春烧烤“ was painted on location while eating BBQ, skewer in one hand, brush in the other. Shāokǎo is a popular street food in China, consisting of meat and vegetable skewers. Enjoyed with a Qingdao (popular beer of China). I made the mistake of starting this piece at dusk with a train to catch in 2 hours. I found myself progressively rushed as the colours kept changing. I’m happy with how it turned out. Also as a bonus, once I finished the piece, the nice boss (老板) gave me a free coke and booked my DiDi to the station.
