“Flower God Shrine 花神庙” like #14, was a piece painted on location at the Peking University (PKU) campus. I painted it while sitting on the stone boat in the centre of Weiming Lake (未名湖), one of PKU’s most iconic landmarks.
The stone boat was a popular spot for both international students and locals to hang out—and occasionally drink. From there, you get a great view of the Flower God Shrine, which is featured in this painting.
